Terrific Thursday.... No Class Tomorrow!!!!

CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
(Time on Task Activities)
  • THIS WEEK - End of the quarter CASAS Post testing.... This is your chance to see how much you have learned and how close you are to your GED goal. Do your best!!!
  • THURSDAY (TODAY) - GED testing at BBCC
  • FRIDAY (TOMORROW) - no class
  • CAFE - A new group of cafe students will be forming, starting this week. If you are interested in working in the cafe, please see an instructor and get you name on the list. You will need to fill out an application form. 
  • CAREER EDUCATION - Last hour activity - Continue researching your career of choice. We have studied 4 careers since September... Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Architecture & Construction, Hospitality & Tourism, Arts, A/V Technology & Communications...  
  • MONDAY - Food Bank service project. Most Mondays we will be going to help at the food bank. 
  • THURSDAY - Open Gym Basketball - Meet in the front parking lot @ 7:15 pm. Van leaves at 7:30. For more information talk to Alfredo Valdez. 
  • ADOPT A BLOCK SERVICE ACTIVITY - SkillSource students have the opportunity to give back to the community. They will.... (1) Maintain the public landscaping (i.e. pull weeds, etc. (2) Pick up litter (3) Keep the sidewalks clear of debris (4) Remove all debris to private receptacles (garbage cans, dumpster, etc.)

CAREER EDUCATION - We have studied 4 careers since September... Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Architecture & Construction, Hospitality & Tourism, Arts, A/V Technology & Communications... Classroom assignment - Choose a career to research in one of these career clusters. This will be done the last hour of the day for the next two weeks.

Students that do not show adequate progress will be put on an academic contract. It is your responsibility to get the "Time on Task" sheets signed each day.
